Video: The Rebirth of Notre Dame
On April 15, 2019, at 18:18 CEST, Notre Dame, a symbol of Paris and a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, burned. The damage was extensive, and the heartbreak was real. One of the most recognizable Cathedrals in existence appeared lost.
However, on December 7, 2024, after five years of painstaking reconstruction, Notre Dame reopened to the public. Like so many others around the world, I was awestruck by its magnificent rebuilding.
This video photo album features Notre Dame. The pictures were taken in April 2025. What struck me most is that the rebirth of Notre Dame is a living testament to human perseverance. That perseverance is evidenced by the work still underway to restore Notre Dame fully. At the time of the photographs in this video album, the work continued around the outer structure.
The Cathedral's reclamation from the fire continues, reminding us of the human dedication required to complete this incredible rebirth.
I hope you enjoy this video photo album of The Rebirth of Notre Dame.
